At fabe, we believe your personal information belongs to you. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using fabe, you agree to the practices described here.

fabe is designed with privacy as the core principle. Here's what you need to know:
We don't.
Your data stays on your device. We have no way to access it because it's never transmitted anywhere.
Important: fabe is a privacy-first app. Your tasks, notes, calendar events, and reminders belong to you — and only you.
fabe uses a few device features to do its job. None of them send data anywhere — everything below runs locally on your device.
fabe can use your device's location to trigger location-based (geofence) reminders — for example, a "you have arrived" notification when you reach a saved place. Location is processed entirely on your device and is never collected, transmitted, or stored on any server.
To deliver these reminders while the app is in the background, fabe requests background location access (ACCESS_BACKGROUND_LOCATION on Android). Before the system ever asks for this permission, fabe shows a clear in-app disclosure explaining that background location is used only to send arrival reminders for the places you save, and that this location data is not shared with or stored on any server. You can choose Allow or Not now; choosing Not now keeps background location off and no system permission prompt appears.
Background location is requested only when you turn on a location reminder or enable Location Reminders in Settings — never automatically at startup. You can revoke location permission at any time in your device's settings, and you can turn location reminders off completely in fabe's settings.
Reminders and the optional daily overview are delivered by your operating system as local notifications, scheduled on your device. No servers are involved in scheduling or delivering notifications.
fabe lets you export and import your data as a local .fabe file. This is entirely user-initiated: the file is saved to a location you choose and is never sent anywhere automatically. You are in full control of where your backup lives.
All your data is stored locally on your device using secure local storage. Since no data leaves your device, there's nothing for anyone to intercept or access.

fabe is not intended for children under 13. We do not collect any data, including from children.
